X-chromosome: Determines female sex characteristics. Normal females have two X-chromosomes, while normal males have one X-chromosome and one Y chromosome.

Xeratic: Causing dryness.

X-rays: A form of radiation that can be used at low levels to produce an image of the body on film or at high levels to destroy cancer cells.
